About us
Female Network’s aim is to inspire more women to pursue a career within finance. During the school year, we arrange guest lectures, networking events and banking tours with national and international top-firms. Women Business Conference in Lund and Female Banking Tour in Stockholm are our biggest, recurring events. These provide excellent opportunities for women interested in the finance industry and are great forums to expand their professional networks.
Besides arranging events, Female Network aspires to increase the number of female students interested in finance. Therefore, we frequently update our social media with upcoming events and publish other motivating and relevant information. We aim to inspire female students and show what a career within finance could imply.
What unifies Female Network is an interest in finance and a willingness to learn, as well as a motivation to challenge the norms within the industry. Being a part of the network develops your knowledge while simultaneously giving you a chance to interact with like-minded students and expand your network!

Our Recurring Events

WBC – Women Business Conference
The Women Business Conference (WBC) is a flagship annual event hosted by LINC’s Female Network, bringing together ambitious female students and leading professionals from some of the largest banks and financial institutions in the Nordic region. The conference provides a unique platform for participants to connect directly with industry representatives, gaining valuable insights into different career paths within finance while building meaningful professional relationships.

FFP – Female Finance Programme
The Female Finance Program (FFP) is a collaboration between LINC’s Female Network, Research & Analysis, and Career Preparation committees, designed for female students who want to build a solid foundation in finance. Through a series of interactive sessions including case workshops, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants gain a hands-on introduction to financial analysis, valuation, and interview preparation.
What truly sets FFP apart is the strong sense of community it creates. The program brings together like-minded, ambitious students in a supportive environment where participants can learn from each other, share experiences, and build lasting connections. This community aspect not only makes the learning experience more engaging, but also helps participants gain confidence in entering a traditionally competitive industry.

FBT – Female Banking Tour
Each year, the Female Network hosts the Female Banking Tour (FBT), an exclusive, highly selective program where a small group of handpicked, ambitious female students travel to Stockholm to meet leading banks and financial institutions on site. The tour is designed to offer a more in-depth and personal insight into the industry, with participants carefully selected based on motivation, interest in finance, and potential.
During the tour, participants visit prominent firms and gain first-hand exposure to their operations. A typical visit includes a company presentation, guided tours of the office and trading floors, and tailored insights into different divisions. In addition, students receive practical advice on career paths, recruitment processes, and what it takes to succeed in the industry.

Head of Female Network
Who are you and what is your role?
My name is Anna-Brita Hunter Nilsson, I am 21 years old and originally from Stockholm. I’m currently in my third semester of the Bachelor’s programme in Business and Economics at Lund University, and this is my second term at LINC. I have been involved in both R&A and the Female Network, committee member and a team leader.
As Head of Female Network, my role is to inspire more women to explore finance and to help lower the barrier to entering the industry. I want more girls to not only be interested, but to actually dare to apply and take up space. I will be hosting events, working on new initiatives together with my committee, and making sure that everything runs smoothly while we continue to develop and improve what we do, especially inspiring and making the way for more women to apply for R&A.
What tips would you give girls wanting to get started in finance?
Honestly, just go for it, and dare to take up space. Don’t sit back and wait until you feel “ready”, because you never will. Ask questions, speak up, apply for things even if you’re not 100% sure you’ll get in. That’s how you grow.
Finance can feel intimidating at first, there are a lot of stereotypes and it’s easy to think that everyone else knows more than you. But the truth is, no one starts out knowing everything. Feeling a bit uncomfortable is part of the process, and it’s actually a really good sign that you’re pushing yourself.
What I’ve realized is that confidence doesn’t come before you try something, it comes after. And that’s exactly what Female Network and LINC are there for. It’s such a supportive environment where you can learn, ask “stupid” questions (which aren’t stupid at all), and develop together with other ambitious students.
You don’t need any prior knowledge, just drive and curiosity. So if you’re even a little bit interested in finance, just try. You might surprise yourself!
